Point of View Modeling

Welcome to our new location.

To help our younger clients or our clients with autism know what to expect when they come to Communication Across Barriers, we created this Point of View (POV) Modeling video.

POV Modeling is a teaching procedure that involves filming from the perspective of the viewer and portrays the arms and hands of the model performing the task of arriving at our office.

A verbal description of each step as it was being performed helps our clients as they transition from the parking lot to the clinic.

Video modeling has been shown to be effective with teaching daily living skills and other skills such as vocational, social, and transitional skills.
